This sculptutre was done from very rotten maple. Piece was hollowed.   Main idea is creation of piece with biologic forms and textures. Coloring

was applied.

Cherry. 18 x 20 x 9

Maple Burl. 40 x 20 x 23. I am calling this piece "Ultimate

maple burl". It was done many years ago. The difficult part was design of a base.

Cocobolo. Main attraction: contrasting subwood, beautiful wood figure and color.

Not long time ago I got alot of mango wood chunks. It is very intresting fruit wood. There are many cracks and spalding. All pieces below are freehand power carving,. It was very enjoyable step by step carving  gradually developing a form. I will put new pictures as soon new pieces will be done.
